Volunteers join a citizen science project mapping insect diversity across the UK, learning to set up a Malaise trap and support sample collection, processing and identification, as well as helping engage visitors. No prior experience needed - training is provided. Suitable for adults 18+, or 11+ accompanied by a responsible adult. Closed-toe shoes required (no sandals or flip-flops). Accessible trails and toilets are available; assistance dogs only. Free, but booking via Eventbrite is essential. Meet at the Engine House visitor centre.
