Autumn Nature Discovery at Walthamstow Wetlands

Run by the London Wildlife Trust Learning & Engagement team, this drop-in session lets families explore different habitats around Walthamstow Wetlands and see what nature turns up in autumn, including pond dipping with nets and searching under logs for minibeasts. Meet at the Outdoor Classroom Area beside the Engine House any time between 1pm and 3pm; no booking required. Aimed at children of all ages with a parent or carer, who must supervise throughout. Come dressed for the weather, as much of the session is outdoors. Paved pathways around the Engine House are wheelchair accessible, though woodchip paths near the Outdoor Classroom can be uneven or muddy; there's an accessible toilet and café with ramp access. Only assistance dogs are permitted. Free, with donations welcome.
