A term-long forest school programme for children aged 18 months to 5 years, accompanied by an adult, running Mondays and Fridays from 10am-12pm at the Outdoor Classroom beside the Engine House. Sessions include minibeast hunting, woodland games, music and nature crafts. Places for this 12-week autumn term were allocated by random lottery draw, with entries open on Tuesday 26 May from 7am-7pm; 12 attendees were selected at random for each of the Monday and Friday sessions, with remaining entrants placed on a randomised waiting list of up to 10 families per session. All places for this term are now allocated. Cost is £120 for 12 weeks for a first child (£78 for an additional sibling aged 18 months+); accompanying adults and under-18-month siblings go free. Woodchip paths; the visitor centre is wheelchair accessible with accessible toilets and a quiet indoor classroom, though there's no hearing loop or onsite parking.
