A free, drop-in family activity session at the outdoor classroom beside the Engine House, exploring wildlife such as toads, tadpoles, woodlice and worms through pond dipping and searching under logs for minibeasts. No booking or equipment is needed and children of all ages are welcome, but must be accompanied by a responsible adult throughout. Dress for the weather and mud. The visitor centre and pond-dipping area are wheelchair accessible, with blue badge parking on site.
