Family Day: Welcome Home

A celebration of the gallery's reopening and newly redisplayed permanent collection. Working with artist Lucy Rainbow, children and adults design their own front doors inspired by ideas of welcome, belonging and new beginnings, then make a screenprinted poster to take home. Families can also follow a dedicated family trail around the new permanent collection and pick up activities linked to the Earthly Paradise exhibition. Held in the Learning Rooms (second floor, lift accessible). Suited to families with children under 18, best for ages 4+; children must be accompanied by an adult. Step-free lift access, a quiet breakout space and sensory satchels are available. Free, drop-in, last entry 3:45pm; a waiting list operates if sessions get busy.
